Introduction to MAT:
MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test.Some of the other test which are famous are Employment test in India by AIMA- MAST(employability test)and AMCAT It is a very important test for the people searching for good jobs that suit their ability and capability. MAT helps evaluate critical thinking skills of the candidate. It test the management position of the candidate, some of the examples are to test the ability to the smart business decision, analyzing skills, having the capability of solving situational problems in the company, supervising and mentoring budget related issue and communicating effectively with others regarding company matters.MAT test are carried in a large scale in India to employee the best candidate out of thousands and give the details of the following candidate to the recruiters of well-known companies. Institutes offering recognized PG programmed in management and allied fields of management that is an MBA is eligible to participate in the MAT test.
Graduate in any discipline and the final year students of graduate courses are also eligible for the test.
And also equivalent programmes offered by AIMA and other management institutes (MI) can also go for the MAT test.
Important dates of MAT 2012-
The following are the important dates of MAT 2012:
- Last date of sale of application form- 14th January 2012 [Saturday]
- Last date of online registration- 14th January 2012 [Saturday]
- Last date of submitting the application form- 17th January 2012 [Tuesday]
- Last date of submitting the application form online and offline at AIMA- 17th January [Tuesday]
- Date of MAT test 2012- 5th February 2012 and 11th February 2012 How to take the test?
MAT test can be given in two forms:
1. Paper-Pencil form-
In this type of test you have to give the test in the normal pattern by answering the given questions on paper, this type of test is going to held on 5th February from 10 am to 12: 30 pm and the reporting time is 9 am.
2. Computer based test (online test)-
It is an online based test which will be carried out on computers in a different time slots at specified venues of the test. This computer based test of MAT is going to be held on 11th February 2012 onwards. It is also decide that if the number of the registration is less in this type then the test will get over on that same day itself otherwise the day will get extended.
In both of the case, after acquiring the result the validity of the score or results will be valid for only 1 year from the date of result declaration.
How to apply for MAT?
The following are the ways by which you can apply online.1. You can obtain form of MAT test by paying cash that is One Thousand Two Hundred rupees from the listed branch of bank of Baroda or from the listed branch of Axis bank or from the study center of AIMA.
2. You can also apply to MAT by going for demand draft of One Thousand and Two Hundred rupees in the name of All India Management Association that is AIMA, and after that Register online with the details of the demand draft.
3. You can also apply to the test by directly registering yourself by going online and filling up the form and paying by credit card directly.
After applying for the MAT test don't forget to download the printable page of your id number, seven days before the test. So that you will not face any problem at the date of the test. This is advised because no separated mail will be send to the candidate regarding the unique id number of the candidate.
